OUTGOING Division 9 Sunshine Coast councillor Griffin has endorsed Jen Mazoudier as the best person to represent Division 9 on the Sunshine Coast Council.
"I have met with a number of the candidates, and have also experienced first hand the track record of the former Maroochy Council candidates," said Cr. Griffin. Jen is the most impressive due to her genuine commitment, and demonstrated past work and life achievements.".
The division tales in key local areas Doonan, parts of Eumundi, Verrierdale and Peregian Springs.
Seen generally as the Coolum division it also extends from Ninderry down to Bli Bli, but the previously mentioned areas could figure as part of a State Government promised de-amalgamation boundary review and vote.
The choices by order of the ballot paper are Linda Morrell, Ms Mazoudier, Greg Fahey, Stephen Robinson, Taylor Bunnag and Bruce Dunne.
Last week the youngest candidate of the six, Mr Bunnag said he had won endorsement from former Noosa councillor Frank Wilkie.
"Taylor has proven himself to be a young man of great energy, determination and integrity, with an impressive ability to consult widely " Mr Wilkie said in a press release.
Mr Dunne pushed Cr Griffin all the way at the 2008 election for the first amalgamated Sunshine Coast council, but whether that would equate to any clear-cut favouritism in 2012, would be a big call.
Especially with candidates running with so many similar policy promises and objectives like having kerbside collections, sustainable development, rate reviews especially for extra levies and looking after the local environment.
Mr Robinson is confidently touting his strong business credentials for "jobs, jobs, jobs", while Mr Fahey is happy to extol his economic development success while a councillor for Maroochy.
Ms Morrell and Ms Mazoudier are in there pitching for clean and green business as part of their environmental push.
