THE Central Queensland Intrust Super Cup team has returned to its roots after the club changed its name back to the Capras.
Capras chief executive Brenton Williamson said he hoped the relaunch of the name would help players outside Rockhampton feel more connected to the club.
"One of our criticisms in the past was that we didn't do enough outside of Rockhampton," Williamson said.
So the Capras are taking on what Williamson called an holistic approach, buying four of their away games for the season.
Three of them will be played in Gladstone, with the first being played at Marley Brown Oval this Saturday, and one in Blackwater.
"The guys from Gladstone will have Capras play here from all three grades which is fairly important and fairly symbolic for the region."
Gladstone Rugby League spokesman Peter White said he was stoked the Capras were set to play in Gladstone.
"To see the future stars of our region from 16, 18 and A-Grade representing our region is just fantastic," White said.
