PERSONAS that reek of confidence and tunes that ooze with talent show Sydney hip-hoppers Horrorshow are no amateurs in the rap scene.
The boys teased fans recently with the release of their new track If You Know What I Mean and an accompanying national tour.
MC Solo says he is excited to play the final show of the set in Queensland.
"I mean, I love them all but I love the Sunny Coast,” he says.
"We've had a lot of really awesome gigs there over the years and met some really friendly people.
"Being big-city kids, it's really nice for us to travel to places like that and get to deal with that kind of energy.
"It's a nice final destination and who knows? Maybe we'll even hang around for a couple of days and try to hit up some beaches and stuff.”
Solo says he is trying to look at the writing process for this album differently.
"In the past, when we've made records, there has been parts that really overwhelmed me and then I got really lost and carried away and put more and more pressure on myself,” he says.
"This time I'm just trying to enjoy the process as much as I can and recognise that's all time spent - whether I'm having heaps of fun recording vocals or whether I'm sitting at home bashing my head against the wall trying to finish these two lines of a song that can't finish or whatever.
"It's all just a part of the process.”
The duo says punters will get a sneak preview of some of Horrorshow's new tracks before the official album release next year.
"We've been so focused on getting the tour announced and on sale,” he says.
"Now that all that is out in the world, we're going to start putting our knuckles down and make a sick set.”
