Coolum smashes Maleny in first innings

B-Grade Maleny v Coolum

CHASING Maleny's first innings total of 152, overnight batsman Goz and Rocket achieved a match-winning partnership of 183 runs with Rod "Rocket" Chambers top-scoring with a 102 runs (including 17 fours). The Goz, finished on 100 not out (including 14 fours and two sixes), backed up by Colin Appleby who hit a quick fire 36 not out to put on a superb 75-run partnership to help Coolum to a respectable total of 275 runs declared.

Maleny went out to bat for their second dig and finished at 7/178 at stumps, giving Coolum a first innings victory.
