THE final design for $1.15 billion in roadworks and interchanges on the Bruce Hwy between Caloundra Rd and the Sunshine Mwy will be explained at a meeting in Palmview next week.
The Exit 190 group, which battled for many years to save it from being closed by the upgrade, will hold an open community forum on Tuesday night where Transport and Main Roads officials will explain the design and roll-out of the project.
The groups says concerned residents of Palmview, Glenview and Sippy Downs, as well as business owners at the Aussie World precinct who would have been disadvantaged by the exit's closure, have rejoiced at the news the southbound off ramp on the Bruce Hwy will be saved.
The department officials will use a visual display to assist an understanding of the project and its timelines.
Those attending will have an opportunity to ask questions of the officials.
Palmview, Glenview and Sippy Downs residents, as well as business owners in the Aussie World precinct and Palmview are invited.
A cash bar will operate, with the forum scheduled for 7pm-8.30pm.
