Glencadam Gold scracthed from Stakes due to hoof injury

BEATEN Caulfield Cup favourite Glencadam Gold has been scratched from Saturday's Lexus Stakes at Flemington after failing to overcome a persistant hoof complaint.

The imported galloper, who two weeks was favourite for the Melbourne Cup, ran a poor 15th in the Caulfield Cup and was out to $61 yesterday with Tattsbet for Tuesday's Cup.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse said she would decide "in the next few days" whether he contested the Melbourne Cup.
