A MONTH ago Coolum's Darren Percival told the Daily he planned to win The Voice.
Fast-forward to today and the 40-year-old member of Team Keith has won hearts and recruited fans nationwide with his soulful performances.
And now as Keith Urban's representative to compete in the grand final he's one step closer to achieving his dream.
But regardless of the results next Monday night, he already views the experience as the highlight of his career.
Not only has he been able to tick off working with Urban on his bucket list, but he has scored himself top spots on the iTunes chart with his performances taken from the show.
This week he became the highest charting finalist with his emotional rendition of Stevie Wonder's I Believe which lifted the roof and received a standing ovation amidst deafening claps and cheers.
"I have so much love for you all. Your support is bringing me abundant joy," he wrote on Facebook in response.
It will be a week filled with excitement and nerves as Percival prepares for his performance on Sunday night and at this stage the soul singer is the second favourite to take out the competition behind Seal's Karise Eden.
"This competition is my time," Percival said.
"I have always felt like I didn't have a choice.
"I'm a singer. It's what I'm on Earth to do."
Voting, which is now open, will close at midday on June 18.
