Love of the game
THE rain came down but it didn't dampen the spirits of our young footy players. I
t was a fantastic weekend at the club, with 17 games and the kids enjoying themselves immensely.
The under-7s and under-8s were a pleasure to watch.
Their enthusiasm and sportsmanship is contagious and if you are having a bad day, come and watch these boys and girls.
They are what our great game is all about - fun, friendship and footy.
Noosa's under-12 Blue played a great team game against Stanley Rivers.
Captain Brendo led the forwards with inspirational running and defence. Kyle and Mickey directed the play beautifully with all players contributing. Tries to Jake, Fish, Brendo and a double to Boe and a conversion to Mickey gave us a 22-0 score. Man of the match to Josh.
Gympie were the opposition for Noosa under-14Bs.
The Noosa boys were on fire, with Cooper Taylor busting the defence to bits. Lleyton Becker looked flashy at fullback and Harry Lovett was striking the ball perfectly. Noosa won, 50 - 0.
Friday night saw the Noosa under-16s take on Bribie in a fiery encounter. Noosa played some great team footy. The forwards set the pace in the middle.
Attack from Kayle, Ben, Andrew and George allowed the smooth backline movements. Noosa ran out winners 30 - 10. More home games this weekend. Visit: ndjrl.com.au for times.
