MYSTERY SOLVED: Lost dinosaur reunited with owners

THE DINOSAUR found on top of Mount Coolum yesterday has been reunited with his rightful owners more than two years after he went missing.

Mitch Brookes and Maxim Claes got separated from Bruce the velociraptor back in 2014 at the Big Pineapple Music Festival.

"Whilst packing up our Playground Safari stage we noticed he had vanished," Mitch said.

"We are still shocked to this day that someone could move such a heavy raptor, let alone rip his eye out, take an arm and then kidnap him for over two years - poor fella."

Both Mitch and Maxim said after that day they expected never to see him again.

"We thought he was gone for good," Mitch said.

Owners Mitch and Maxim said Bruce has enjoyed the attention from the ladies.

"The community came together in the search, Sunrise put it out there and still no hope. Our hearts were broken but a big thanks to everyone who was involved."

The pair said they were ecstatic to be reunited with their long lost pal.

"He's enjoying his first VB with us right now," Mitch said last night.

"At this stage we'll be focusing on his rehabilitation. Once he is back on his feet he'll be performing at next year's Big Pineapple Music Festival.

"For now, you can keep up to date with his movements across on our Facebook page @pineapplexpressgroup or for the ladies catch him on his Tinder account Big Bad Brucey."
