Origin rivalry may be behind fire

AN ARSON attack on a Sydney pizza shop could be a case of State of Origin rivalry with a twist, police said.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning a fleet of delivery scooters outside the Dominos in Darlinghurst was torched.

Police were investigating if the fire could be linked to a rival business not wanting the competition on the notoriously busy game night.

The same pizza store was set alight in the lead up to last year's NRL grand final.

The owner told news.com on Wednesday scooters had been brought in from other stores to keep the business running as normal.

Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
