Pulsar returns and new look for Patrol
TWO flagship nameplates for Nissan have new looks.
Back from the dead, the all-new Nissan Pulsar sedan has been unveiled along with a new look for the hardy Patrol off-roader.
Both will be on display at the Australian International Motor Show that opens in Sydney on Friday.
The Pulsar sedan goes on sale from February 2013 priced from $19,990 (plus on-road costs). Pulsars have a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine generating 102kW of power and 174Nm of torque.
The four-potter is mated to an automatic continuously variable transmission.
Also certain to turn heads is the Nissan Pulsar SSS hatch.
The striking SSS will feature a four-cylinder, double overhead cam (DOHC), turbocharged engine with direct injection petrol technology producing 140kW power and 240Nm of torque. The all-new Pulsar SSS hatch will be equipped with either a six-speed manual or CVT transmission and will go on-sale in Australia with other Pulsar hatch variants in mid-2013.
The Patrol has new platform, a radical design direction, significantly enhanced interior comfort and luxury, a powerful new V8 engine with improved driveability, a new seven-speed automatic transmission as well as a new ALL-MODE 4x4 system.
Set to be launched in February priced from $82,200 plus on road costs for the ST-L grade, the Patrol Ti starts at $92,850 while the Ti-L starts from $113,900.
