THE rock wall at Noosa Spit has looked weaker lately, with faultlines close to the boulders' edge.

One reader suggested the erosion could be coming from the continuing works at Dog Beach.

A Sunshine Coast Council spokesman acknowledged the change in conditions and said council had conducted repairs for stability.

"The river mouth has shifted to the rock groyne side which has caused some unsettling of the rocks in the wall," he said

"We're currently monitoring these works to see if any more repair works are needed."
