NOOSA Farmers Markets, local food producers and the Sunshine Coast Council have joined forces to created the Noosa Food e-Food Trail
Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham announced the news at an industry function with more than 140 guests on Thursday night at the South Pacific Resort in Noosaville.
He said the guide will be an electronic showcase of growers and producers from the region and act as the definitive guide to the Noosa region's diverse food and beverage offerings and the wider culinary culture.
"Noosa has long been known as a foodie destination, not only for its variety of world class restaurants and events such as the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival, but also for its myriad producers.
"The Noosa e-Food Trail will take the viewer on a visual tour throughout the Noosa region offering tastes of local produce and showcasing the talented farmers and producers from the region.
The announcement of the Noosa e-Food Trail aptly comes in the Year of the Farmer and in the tenth year of the Noosa Farmers Market.
Noosa Farmers Market founder Shane Stanley said he was pleased to support the initiative.
"The Noosa e-Food Trail is a great opportunity to showcase the talented farmers and producers of our region," he said.
Anthony Dow from Sunshine Coast Council said they were keen to support the Sunshine Coast's food and tourism sectors
"We are excited to be part of this initiative that will not only give food related producers and businesses an opportunity to extend their marketing reach but also encourage businesses to work together."
The Noosa e-Food Trail is due to launch in September.
