POLICE are on the look out for a black Hyundai Veloster stolen during a test-drive in Gympie on Thursday.
Madill used car salesman Ali Zengin was taking a woman for a run, but when the pair positions from driver to passenger, he was left in a proverbial cloud of dust.
"We'd just pulled over and she had sat down in the driver's seat," he said.
"As I went around the car to get back in she took off like a bullet."
Mr Zengin said the price stickers were still attached to the vehicle.
"I've never seen anything like this in my 25 years of selling cars," he said.
The vehicle was last seen travelling towards Imbil.
Gympie Police said the licence the woman supplied prior to the test drive did not belong to her.
A photograph of the licence was posted to the Gympie Information, Advice and Discussions Facebook page.
Police have stressed the woman pictured was not responsible for the theft.
Witnesses, or anyone who has seen the vehicle, registration 244WNR, is urged to contact either Gympie Police on 5480 1111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
