IT'S peak wedding season on the Sunshine Coast right now with local and travelling brides making their way down the aisle in record numbers.
Lovebird Weddings owner Trudy Croad said spring was the most popular time for weddings on the Sunshine Coast.
"This is a really big time for us," she said.
"There's always a lot of weddings in spring and it has so much to do with the weather conditions. Spring time is always pleasant time to get married and it coincides with certain flowers being available that aren't available in summer or autumn or winter.
"Brides are pretty savvy these days and will want particular flowers for their wedding so they'll plan it for peony or other flower seasons.
"Also generally on Sunshine Coast during spring there are warm days it's a little bit cooler in the evenings and there's a lower chance of rainfall. So we're busy, busy but we love it."
Ms Croad said those wanting to book a Sunshine Coast wedding in spring had to get in super early.
"It's dependant on the venue but usually they're getting booked out a year in advance, so we recommend the earlier you can book the better," she said.
"At the moment we are currently taking bookings for spring next year and early 2018.
"I even took a booking the other day or a wedding on July 8, 2018."
Ms Croad said the Sunshine Coast's popularity was due to a combination of factors.
"Since I launched my business nine years ago the demand for weddings here has increased phenomenally," she said.
"It's been brought on by a number of things including upstanding venues that keep improving what they can offer brides and also just the quality of suppliers."
Ms Croad's top venues for Sunshine Coast weddings were:
1. Maleny Manor
2. Spicers Clovelly Estate - Montville
3. Sails restaurant - Noosa
4. Rickys River Bar & Restaurant - Noosa
5. Bistro C - Noosa
