SANDWICHED between Aussie Olympians Eamon Sullivan and Matt Targett, Morgan Kenny was suddenly struck.
Moments before the 21-year-old went on stage, she sent a text message to her mum Lisa Curry, saying Eamon and Matt would be in the audience.
The swimming pair caught the Moulin Rouge show last week, while in Paris ahead of the London Olympics.
"She was very excited, she knew the swimmers were going to be there," Lisa said.
"They often know when there's going to be someone famous in the audience.
"It was funny to see her with the swimmers. They're too young, but some of the swimmers still remember Morgan when she was a baby.
"She and the other girls look amazing and they're the ones star struck because Matt and Eamon are there."
Lisa said Morgan, 1.7m (5ft 10in) and in heels, commented on how tall Eamon and Matt were.
The photo of Morgan and her Australian Moulin Rouge performers quickly went viral with Eamon tweeting his excitement.
"Photo of all the Australian dancers and Moulin Rouge. They make up the majority of the cast... Pretty impressive," Eamon tweeted.
"Lucky enough to get backstage to meet all the Australian dancers. Such a tough day."
It's been 18 months since Morgan traded in her Sunshine Coast lifestyle for a high-flying career with the Moulin Rouge.
"She's been going extremely well. She has auditioned for a couple of different roles over there. She auditioned for the swimming with the snake in the swimming tank and the singing role," Lisa said.
But Lisa is now counting down to Morgan's two-week return home later this month.
"She's a real homebody. She's a little bit home sick," she said.
"It's a long way to come home, it's not easy for her to stay in touch."
