HAVING a wedding in a hall or on a private residence might not be where you imagine your perfect wedding.

Luckily, Sunshine Coast Council allow weddings on all of the beaches and parks in the region.

"Whether you love ocean views, the beach, a peaceful bush setting or open parkland the Sunshine Coast region has many attractive locations where you can hold a wedding or other formal ceremony,” a Sunshine Coast council spokeswoman said.

"All beaches and parks are available for ceremonies, you just need to make an application to council.

"If you're looking for location inspiration, there is a fantastic tool on council's website that allows you to view maps and check the availability of popular locations.”

Obviously some parks and beaches were more popular than others so you need to get in early if you want to secure your spot.

The top 5 Sunshine Coast wedding locations (based on applications received by council):

Noosa Council also allows weddings in parks and on the beach up at Noosa.

Again you had to apply to secure your spot and date but it was an easy process.

You can find out all the info on Noosa Council's website.
