YEAR 12 students across the Coast celebrated the end of their school years this week.
At Coolum High the whole school community, including students, parents and teachers, gathered for the annual graduation leaving ceremony in which the student rolls were read for the last time at school.
Graduating students performed a farewell song before moving past assembled teachers to be congratulated on achieving this milestone in their lives.
There were tears and hugs as students left the school in their uniforms for the final time.
In the evening, students looked resplendent in formal suits and gowns at the school's formal graduation dinner at Twin Waters resort, attended by parents, carers, family, friends and teachers.
Year 12 Head of Department Sally Vellar presented a moving speech and video on the theme: we are all in this together.
A special feature of the evening was the presentation to parents and caregivers of letters written by each graduate expressing their appreciation for care and support over the years.
It was a teary but happy farewell last Friday at St Andrew's Anglican College as 73 Year 12 students walked out of the gates for the last time.
The day began with breakfast and then an emotional farewell as Prep students presented graduates with a gardenia flower and then walked them off stage and out of the service.
The entire college community lined the path for the traditional guard of honour through the school, after which students boarded a bus to finally let their hair down at the beach.
Peregian Beach College Year 12 students celebrated their graduation with a formal dinner at Peregian Springs Golf Club with family, teachers and former and fellow students.
