Noosa Nippers with their McDonald's sponsorship certificates after their Wall to Wall swim.
Noosa Heads Nippers held their annual Wall to Wall swim on Noosa Main Beach in December in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities operating within the area.
Noosa McDonalds’ franchisee Matthew Grut said he was overwhelmed by support from the Noosa Heads Junior Activities Committee and Nippers.
He said each nipper who took part in the swim donated $5, which helped raise even more money.
At the end of the day a grand total of $595 was raised and handed over to the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC).
RMHC is the national charity of McDonalds, which has sponsored the Noosa Nippers for the past six years. The 800m Wall to Wall swim takes place between the middle rock wall and First Point. This year, more than 150 nippers were involved.
One of the attributes of this swim that makes it so popular among the nippers is that it is not a race – it is simply about participation, getting involved with local charities and having a lot of fun.
The swim is held at the same time each year – the nipper Christmas break-up day.
Anyone who is interested in donating to the RMHC can contact Mr Grut on 0412 104 063 or at McDonalds Noosaville, Noosa Homemaker Centre, Corner of Gibson Road and Thomas Street.
