Boardrider club makes all welcome

Noosa Boardriders was founded in the 1960s. It runs all year round with monthly competitions.

This is a short boarders club with ages from under 12 to “old boys”.

It meets the first Saturday of each month at the second carpark in Sunshine Beach.

The club has had huge success this year, making it to the National Titles for the Jim Beam Team Challenge in Sydney.

There is some amazing talent in the club both in the young and older divisions, many of whom have gone on to achieve fantastic results in competitive surfing and carve out great careers in the industry.

The club has great fun at the monthly meets, finishing the day with a barbecue. At the end of the year, a presentation night awards trophies in each category which is always a fun family night.

So whatever your age or your surfing ability, this is truly a great way to get into competitive mode, challenge your skill, and have fun.
