Health starts in the soil

Recent newspaper articles and television shows have highlighted the difficulty of getting the best nutrition from many staple foods grown in Australia’s mineral-poor soils.

The minerals necessary for a healthy body are generally not found in the old soils of this country.

The guest speaker at the August Permaculture Noosa meeting will be Graeme Sait, who will be speaking on the topic ‘Healthy Soils, Healthy You’.

Past president of Permaculture Noosa, Vic Bateman, said: “ I would rate the meeting and talk given by Graeme Sait to Permaculture Noosa in 2008 as one of the top three inspiring and informative talks I have had the good fortune to attend.”

Graeme Sait is the CEO and co-founder of the dynamic Queensland company, Nutri-Tech Solutions (NTS) based in Yandina.

The company is an innovator in soil, animal and human nutrition and a world leader in sustainable agriculture.

NTS works on the concept of improving the nutrient density of our food while reducing the immune assault associated with farm chemicals.

This multi-award winning organisation has developed more than 300 products, many of which are exported to 40 countries.

Graeme is also the author of the internationally acclaimed book, Nutrition Rules!, a popular guidebook for improving both soil health and human health.

Graeme’s inspiring presentations are often described as “life changing” by audience members.

All members of the public are welcome to attend the free monthly meetings of Permaculture Noosa.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, August 17, starting at 7pm, at the Memorial Hall, Maple Street, Cooroy.
