John Madill has been awarded life membership of the Noosa Malibu Club.

The Noosa Malibu Club presented a life membership to John Madill at a fundraising event held at the Noosa Bowls Club on Thursday, July 15.

John, from the Madill Motor Group and Madill Toyota, has been a long-time supporter and sponsor of the Noosa Malibu Club, as well as many other clubs and groups in the local district

He was obviously taken back by the honour, presented by club vice-president Peter White (another life member and long-time sponsor and supporter of the club).

The award was to be presented at this Saturday’s Noosa Malibu Club presentation night but when it was discovered that John was unable to attend, the planning went into over-drive and it was decided to make the presentation at the fundraiser.

John, a keen surfer since the age of 12, made a short and gracious speech and his face could not hide the delight he felt.
