Emergency Services workers freeing a trapped female driver of a vehicle that left Sunrise Road Eumundi and slammed into a tree.
An 18-year-old Sunshine Coast woman suffered a broken leg after her car ploughed into a tree near Eumundi on Tuesday. The woman was trapped in her red Mitsubishi Lancer for more than half an hour after it crashed on Sunrise Road about noon.
Rescue crews from the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service used hydraulic equipment to cut the roof open to get to the young woman.
The female driver, who was the only occupant, was removed from the vehicle at 12.35pm and taken to Nambour General Hospital.
A hospital spokeswoman said the woman was in a stable condition last night.
