ALMOST two million viewers tuned in to watch the Seven Network's documentary on AFL star Ben Cousins' battle with drug addiction on Wednesday night.
Such is Life: The Troubled Times of Ben Cousins was watched by 1.996 million viewers, making it the most-watched program of the evening, with Seven News taking the next spot with an audience of 1.562 million.
The documentary easily beat its rivals in the 8.30pm to 9.30pm timeslot with the ABC's The Gruen Transfer coming in second with 1.358 million viewers.
In the first part of the documentary which aired on Wednesday night the Brownlow Medallist claims his 2007 drug arrest in Perth was payback from WA Police.
Part one of the documentary covered Cousins' life up to his AFL suspension in late 2007 and included footage of him smoking drugs.
Seven claimed the top four most-watched programs on Wednesday night including the lead-in to the Cousins documentary - World's Strictest Parents, as well as Seven News and Today Tonight.
he rest of the top 10 was rounded out by the ABC's The Gruen Transfer, Spicks and Specks and Yes We Canberra; Nine's A Current Affair and Nine News; and Seven's Hot Property.
The second part of Such is Life: The Troubled Times of Ben Cousins airs on Seven on Thursday night (August 26) at 8.30pm.
