Tuesday may prove quite revealing

This Tuesday all roads may lead to Noosa J for some good old grassroots town meetings about issues of major concern.

At 3.30pm Unitywater boss Jon Black will take part in an open public forum organised by the Member for Noosa Glen Elmes in response to a range of concerns to do with water billing.

Mr Elmes said from the overwhelming response to his office about this boiling hot issue, The J seating will reach capacity quickly.

And the Noosa News was trying to confirm that at 5.30pm after the Unitywater meeting, the Noosa Junction Master Planning community forum to be hosted by Councillor Russell Green will go ahead. The Noosa Residents and Ratepayers Association and other public stakeholders was given tentative notice of this rescheduled meeting would be taking place this Tuesday from 5.30pm-7pm.

A second public forum was pencilled in for The J for Tuesday, September 14. Cr Green said yesterday morning he was awaiting confirmation that a final report requested by council executive would be ready in time. A request for further information on this vital civic makeover had caused the postponement of an August 17 public forum.
