SUNSHINE Coast TAFE has taken steps to mitigate the rising costs of education to make their management diploma more accessible in tough economic times.
TAFE is now offering the Advanced Diploma of Management using a fee help initiative through a partnership with Southbank Institute of Technology.
Head of Business School Natalie Denissova said being able to offer assistance with course fees made study a more viable option, even despite the challenges in the economy.
"The VET FEE-HELP partnership is an ideal arrangement whereby eligible students receive an interest-free Commonwealth loan that helps to pay their tuition fees," Ms Denissova said.
This process can be used to pay for all or part of an eligible student's fees if they are studying an approved VET program at diploma, advanced diploma, vocational graduate certificate or vocational graduate diploma level.
The students ultimately repay their loan through the Australian taxation system.
Ms Denissova said the Advanced Diploma of Management was suited to people interested in challenging themselves and progressing to the next level in their careers.
"This course provides participants with the tools to develop leadership skills in strategic and business planning, people development, change and risk management and budgeting," Ms Denissova said.
"Enrolments for the next course are now open, however will soon close as classes will commence in February and places are limited."
