WHAT do you call a lady magician? A ‘Magicianess’ of course! And back in time for the school holidays at the Ginger Factory are the very popular Magicianess and her two sidekicks, who will dig deep into their amazing box of tricks and leave the little ones spellbound, giggling and gasping for more. With her big white fluffy bunny, called Magic and friendly wizard Grumbledore to assist, these not-to-be-missed free magic shows will run twice daily during weekdays from September 24 to 28 and October 1 to 5. The fully interactive shows will be filled with a mesmerising line-up of illusions, theatre, puppetry and tricks, including one that will leave everyone gasping and asking ‘How did they do it?’ The Magicianess and Grumbledore also recommend that children bring along their own wands and dress up as their favourite wizards and fairies to help create their own magic. The Magicianess Magic team, who have just returned from Switzerland are widely regarded as some of the best children’s performers in the country and have toured extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand including touring for the Queensland Arts Council. Each show will be full of surprises and is suitable for all ages – both young and young at heart. The Ginger Factory is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm and admission is free.
