Helping Hands Network Chelona Outside School Hours Care

Helping Hand Chelona is part of the Helping Hand Network which is a non profit organisation  providing quality care for school aged children before and after school, vacation care and pupil free days. Chelona is located 10 minutes from Mackay CBD with an intimate country atmosphere.  All school aged children are able to attend once enrolled at Helping Hands and enrolment is free. We provide a nutritious breakfast, afternoon tea each session and morning tea as well during vacation care. 

We focus on developing social skills and positive and effective communication through play and leisure activities. We have a well planned program developed around the children's interests and needs. We teach sports activities, cooking, gardening, art and craft, and photography. Children engage in both indoor and outdoor play activities. During vacation care children participate in incursions and excursions.
