
20 in hospital after train and bus crash in Cairns
TWENTY people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a collision between a bus and a train in Cairns.
The accident happened on Draper Street, near the Southern Access Rd just before 4.30pm.
While 20 people were taken to Cairns Hospital, 15 needed assessment only, while another two had fractures and another three had minor injures.

The bus was carrying people from The Endeavour Foundation, while the train involved was the Kuranda Scenic Railway.
Queensland Rail spokesperson said there were no passengers on the train at the time of the crash.
