A FIFTEEN-year-old boy charged with arson arising from a fire that destroyed two caravans last weekend has appeared before Toowoomba Children's Court.

The lad, who as a juvenile is not named, is accused of lighting the fire which torched the caravans at a Glenvale storage yard last Saturday night.

The vans had been awaiting repair.

During a brief appearance in court, the boy was not required to enter any pleas to two counts of arson.
