Around The World In Eighty Days radio play on stage

THE creative team behind Nathan Schulz Presents is firing up its steam engine, setting its sails along with getting its elephant ready to perform a live re-enactment of an original radio broadcast of Jules Verne's classic story Around The World In 80 Days.

The ensemble will use only voice actors and Foley sound effects.

The performances will be on January 17 and 18 at 5.30pm at the Noosa Museum in Pomona.

The cost is $17 per person, $29 for couples and $52 for a family of four.

Doors open at 5pm.

Around the World in 80 Days was first broadcast on October 23, 1938, by Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre.

The story is set in 1873 and begins with a simple wager and the race against time for Phileas Fogg and Passepartout as they journey around the world.

The broadcast was immensely popular and was later adapted for the 1956 film starring David Niven.

Bookings can be made through the museum by email info@noosamuseum.org.au or phone 5485 1080.

All seats must be prepaid as space is limited.
