Attempted hold up at beauty salon

POLICE are hunting a man and woman believed to be involved in the attempted robbery of a beauty salon at Eastern Heights this morning.

A man and woman demanded money from an employee at the Blackstone Rd business about 10am.

Police say the offenders assaulted an employee before leaving empty handed.

There were also some alleged threats made against the victim.

There are no reports of serious injury.

A white Holden ute that was involved in the offence was last seen driving towards the Cunningham Hwy along South Station Rd.

Police are taking statements from witnesses.
