OPINION: Who are you to tell me where I can't park?
READER COMMENT: PARKING at Sunshine Plaza can be a mission at times and one can be tempted to use parking bays that we are not entitled to, such as disabled or senior parks.
I am proud to say that I am not one of those people.
Today, however, I had the misfortune of someone assuming that I was.
Returning to my car I was confronted with the following note on my windscreen, "You didn't look to be a senior, read the sign, consider elderly. Your fine is in mail as you were watched."
To the author of this note, I did read the sign and, as I am a senior, parked where I was entitled to.
Secondly, I suffer from a disability and have recently been diagnosed with cancer.
Perhaps you could have asked instead of just sitting back thinking the worst of me.
Should I receive such a fine perhaps you may consider secretly paying it for me just as you are so quick to secretly leave notes on people's windows.
Oh and thanks for the compliment.
