Bindi says emotional goodbye to boyfriend

BINDI Irwin has said an emotional and very public goodbye to her boyfriend, Chandler Powell, as he returns to America.

The professional wakeboarder and the young Wildlife Warrior have been a couple since meeting at Australia Zoo in November 2013.

They have spent long periods of time together since and shared the spotlight at the recent Steve Irwin Gala Dinner.

Yesterday, Bindi took to Instagram to say goodbye and posted a photo of her resting her head on Chandler's shoulder.

ROBERT IRWIN REVEALS HIS SECRET PASSION

"You are flying back to the USA today. Dropping you off at the airport and waving goodbye, it never gets easier," she said.

"Thank you for the most wonderful adventures these last few months. We even got to celebrate your 20th birthday here in Australia together, hiking through the Great Dividing Range.

"I've known you since you were 16 and every day, from the very first day I met you, you've been my sunshine. I will see you again soon.

"Thank you for everything, you always make me smile, no matter how far apart we may be."

"I miss you so much already. You really do mean the world to me."

Her young beau was also not shy about sharing his feelings with the world Powell, also posting a message on Instagram.

"It seems like just yesterday I arrived in Australia for your birthday," he wrote.

"Each goodbye gets more and more difficult. I always carry the smallest of moments, like these sunset walks through the zoo, with me no matter where I go.

"Counting down the days until I'm back with you again, creating more incredible, unforgettable memories, Thank you for making me so happy each day."

He also recently posted a photo of himself and Bindi driving the car after they visited Glass House Mountains.

"Wouldn't trade these days with you for anything in the world," he wrote.
