BOM are keeping an eye on low that may turn into a cyclone
THE Bureau of Meteorology is keeping its eye on a low pressure system near the Solomon Islands that might turn into a cyclone in the coming days.
Bureau media liaison officer Ken Kato said the weak low was just south of the Solomons and was expected to drift further west and strengthen in the coming days.
He said it was "too early to tell" if it would venture towards the Australian coast but that it was predicted to venture over the far north of the Coral Sea in the next few days.
