TRAFFIC CHAOS: Bruce Hwy moving slowly after crash

UPDATE: Traffic is moving slowly northbound after a crash south of the Caloundra Rd exit.

Earlier:

NORTHBOUND Bruce Hwy traffic is reportedly banked up for kilometres after a crash just south of the Caloundra Rd exit.

Police responded to reports of a crash at about 10.20am, a single vehicle has ended up in the centre median strip with police told a truck may have clipped the car.

Emergency services are headed to the scene and there are reports of major traffic delays, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman advising the northbound lanes south of the accident site are reportedly in gridlock.

The male driver of the car was uninjured, a police spokeswoman told the Daily.

She said the driver told police he'd been clipped by a truck, with police to review traffic cam footage of the incident.

The car is still to be towed from the scene, as traffic continues to bank up.
