Cyclists injured in Mudjimba crash

A SEVENTEEN-year-old woman has been left with a back injury and a 60-year-old man was knocked out and suffered a shoulder injury after cyclists collided at Mudjimba this morning.

Police reports were that two cyclists had collided and then hit a parked car but a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman was unable to confirm whether a parked car had been involved.

The spokesman said there had been "some loss of consciousness" with the 60-year-old man after the crash just after 9am on Mudjimba Esplanade.

Ambulance officers are taking one cyclist to Nambour General Hospital now with the other cyclist expected to be transported soon.
