Streets shut down after man dies of gun shot wounds

POLICE are presently at the scene of a reported shooting at Labrador on the Gold Coast with initial information suggesting a man was shot at a home on Imperial Parade just after 2pm today. 

Police have confirmed a man has sustained serious injuries at the property involved with paramedics saying he suffered gun shot wounds to the chest. 

"A person located at the residence is currently assisting police with enquiries," a police spokesman said. 

Streets around the area have been closed to divert people away from the scene.
