Brits furious over downsizing of Cadbury Creme Eggs

FINALLY, the Poms are whinging about something important.

The mother country is furious after realising that Easter favourites, the Cadbury Creme Egg, are now being sold in five-packs instead of the traditional half-dozen.

The UK Daily Mail has described chocolate lovers in the UK as "shell shocked".

Adding to their sugar-fuelled fury is that stores are selling the smaller packs for the same £2 (about AUD$3.50) that Poms paid for the six packs.

The British are not the only ones to be frustrated by Cadbury pulling a swifty on buyers.

In 2009, Cadbury cut the size of its chocolate blocks from 250g to 200g but charged buyers the same.

At the time, the company said it was to ensure the price stayed the same while the wholesale cost of ingredients increased.
