BUNDABERG residents will get the chance to get up close and personal with government ministers next month when community Cabinet rolls into town.

The two-day meeting will be held on October 18 and 19 at the Bundaberg Civic Centre.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said bringing Cabinet to town was another show of support for the Wide Bay region.

She said she looked forward to sitting down and talking with Bundaberg residents.

"We know the Wide Bay region is important to the state's economy, especially around agriculture and tourism as a southern gateway for Great Barrier Reef tourism," she said.

"Supporting business and industry is key to job creation.

"This is a great chance for locals to sit down face to face with top decision makers about any of the wider issues being faced by the region."

Bundaberg MP Leanne Donaldson said a public forum would be held on October 18 from 1pm and urged people to get involved.

She said everyone was welcome to meet with government ministers through pre-booked formal deputations.

"I would encourage as many people as possible to take advantage of this opportunity," she said.

"I am frequently advocating on behalf of our community but this is your chance to talk to ministers about issues that matter to you."

Bundaberg residents can visit http://www.qld.gov.au/communitycabinet or phone 1800 448 377 for more information and details how to request a meeting with a minister.
