Cars stranded on road as floodwaters rise

TWO cars have become stuck in floodwaters at Buderim this morning as heavy rain poured on the Sunshine Coast.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said three crews attended the incident at Jones Rd and Lindsay Rd about 11.30am.

"There was water all over the road," she said.

By 11.30am the car was out of the water, the spokeswoman said.

Police also attended the scene and blocked both ends of the road.

All persons were accounted for.

Emergency services say it's a timely reminder that if it's flooded, forget it.
