Clive Palmer loses legal battle against QLD Government

POLITICIAN and magnate Clive Palmer has lost a legal battle against the Queensland Government after the Supreme Court dismissed his claim relating to his development of a coal terminal at Abbot Point.

Mr Palmer took on Co-ordinator-General Barry Broe after the government dumped a proposed port expansion.

His demands for a judicial review were dismissed by the court and he was orded to pay all legal costs.

A major expansion of Abbot Point is still going ahead, although it is vastly different from the proposals put in place by the former Labor government.
