BLOOD screening will be conducted on the driver of a car involved in a fatal crash near a busy Coast junction.
A 21-year-old Ipswich man died on Friday night after the car in which he was a passenger crashed on the Bruce Hwy a short distance north of the Nambour Connection Rd overpass.
Nambour Forensic Crash Unit officer Senior Constable Evan Condon said investigations showed the green Toyota Corolla hit an embankment in the north bound lanes of the highway.
Snr Const Condon said blood tests from the 51-year-old driver, analysis of the Forest Glen crash site, witness accounts and a review of possible CCTV footage would be taken into account when determining whether or not anyone would be charged.
The 51-year-old man and another man, a 50-year-old passenger, were treated for non life-threatening injuries at Nambour General Hospital after the crash.
Snr Const Condon said investigation into the cause of the crash was continuing.
