MUSTAFA THE MOUSE MEETS YEAR 1

Cooran State School Students meets Mustafa the Mouse

The Year 1 students are currently exploring the genre, narrative. This week they had an opportunity to create a happy ending for a fictional character, Mustafa the Mouse. They were provided with the Orientation (Meeting Mustafa and discovering what he looks like, how he acts and what he likes) and the Complication (poor Mustafa lost his sense of humour (funny bone). The students were then asked to colour a template of Mustafa, according to the narrative’s description (noun groups). They happily tried to match the noun groups to the template they were given, but little did they realise that their creations were going to come to life, with a 3D Mustafa popping out of the page!
