Cream rises to the top for Will Power

THE last thing Toowoomba-born IndyCar driver Will Power expected after winning in Milwaukee was copping a cream puff in the face from Penske teammate Juan Pablo Montoya.

Unfortunately for Power, some of the cream found its way into his right ear, necessitating a trip to the trackside medical centre to have it removed.

"Poof, it went in. Cream puff, all that stuff coming out," he told the media assembled at the post-race press conference.

The victory, his third this season and first on an oval track, gave Power a 39-point lead in the championship with just two races remaining.

The Aussie said he wasn't getting carried away after blowing series leads in 2010 and 2012, each time with three races to go.
