The Beerwah business has now been crowned the winner of the medium business category thanks to the slip up.

Trailers 2000 owner Stuart Daniels said he was happy to represent Queensland.

"I can only say we are happy to be representing Queensland and we will certainly uphold the high standards that are expected of us," he said earlier today.

"It was great news, it's a great reward for our team.

While Mr Daniels said he was aware of Di Bella's public rant he did not see it.

"I heard of it but I didn't see it. I am not into social media at all," he said.

Trailers 2000 had already won the regional business award, and now wins the medium business award as well. It will receive a second certificate, and will compete at the national final in Melbourne on August 7.

EARLIER: BEERWAH business Trailers 2000 has won a surprise award promotion thanks to Telstra and Phillip Di Bella.

His Di Bella Coffee business had been named the Queensland Telstra business of the year at its coveted awards last month.

However, once a series of Tweets - dripping with expletives and gay slurs - was revealed, Di Bella was stripped of the two awards his business won.

It means Carbon Media is now the state business of the year; and Trailers 2000 replaces Di Bella Coffee as the winner of the medium business category.

"Trailers 2000 Pty Ltd is now the largest Australian trailer manufacturer of high quality, fully galvanised trailers and accessories and processors of rolled formed steel," a Telstra spokesman said.
