Trump’s secret weapon for 2020 re-election

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has named former digital adviser Brad Parscale as campaign manager for 2020 re-election campaign.

The announcement comes a record-breaking 980 days before election day, beating Barack Obama who declared his intentions 582 days out.

Mr Trump's surprise election victory was largely due to Mr Pascale's efforts as digital media director in 2016.

The 42-year-old charged the Trump campaign $121 million for its work during the 2016 election, CNBC reported.

In an interview with 60 Minutes, Parscale said his team of 100 people created 50,000 to 60,000 ads on Facebook to reach Trump supporters every day.

"He has our family's complete trust and is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign," he said in a release from the campaign.
