Dubarray brings good vibes back to Oz music scene
FRESH off the back of appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Island Vibes, Dubarray has revealed its latest single, Paradise, with a solid list of Australian shows to celebrate the release.
The new single is a taste of the band's dub/reggae sound and a hint of what's to come on the upcoming album release.
Full of melodic hooks, dub delays and big beat reggae grooves, the single is a catchy feel-good tune to lead into the summer festival season.
Dubarray is a unique story of an Australian act which kicked off its journey in Europe four years ago, building solid foundations within many countries, thanks to a hectic live schedule.
During that time, the band released two albums, returned to tour Europe four times, has hit the Australian road for three national tours and been nominated for various Music Oz and Queensland Music awards.
Inspired by the likes of St Germain, Groove Armada, Thievery Corporation and Massive Attack, Dubarray delivers everything from groove-based trip hop beats to punchy house and tribal percussion - all layered on a bed of electronic ambience and euphoric vocals.
Dubarray has been dominating Europe for the past three years and has been returning annually for the summer festival season.
The band is rapidly building a solid foundation in countries such as Holland, the UK, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France and Czech Republic.
The band is slowly making waves back in Australia with its commitment to the touring circuit.
Dubarray has been hitting the festival scene hard this spring in the midst of its Paradise tour en route to an appearance at this year's Woodford Folk Festival.
In the meantime the band will be performing one last Sunshine Coast show at Solbar Maroochydore tomorrow, November 26, with special guest Kudos, who is also on tour for his new single Plucker.
