Elderly man avoids injury during fight outside his home

A 39-year-old man has been injured after confronting a 79-year-old man in Upper Mount Gravatt last night.

Police say around 11:30pm the 39-year-old man entered the 79-year-old's front yard on Curfew Street.

A short time later he was confronted by a 45-year-old man and a fight broke out. 

The 39-year-old man received facial fractures and the 45-year-old received a fractured hand in the fight. 

Both men were taken to the Princess Alexandria Hospital.

The 79-year-old was unhurt and is currently assisting police with their investigation.
