Does Demi have enough charm to be Miss Country Girl?
UNIVERSITY of the Sunshine Coast student Demi Souvlis may have moved from the farm to the beach, but she's hoping she still has enough charm to be crowned Miss Country Girl Australia.
The 19-year-old will be one of 40 girls vying for the Sunshine Coast regional title. The winner will compete in the national final in Sydney.
Country Girl Australia is a model search focused in rural and regional areas.
Ms Souvlis is hunting for the perfect dress and swimsuit to wear at the red carpet event at the Wharf Tavern on September 14.
"I just think this will be a really great experience,'' she said.
"I'm just in it to get involved. I think it will be a lot of fun."
The 170cm-tall beauty moved to the Coast to study primary education. "I'd always wanted to try something like this but there was nothing ever like this back home," she said.
"My friends are really excited too because none of us have done anything like this before. I just need to find a dress to wear."
